1. Introduction

Pet Shield Plan provides a warranty plan specifically designed for pet transportation-related incidents. This warranty ensures coverage for unexpected situations that may arise during transit. By purchasing this plan, customers agree to the following Terms & Conditions, which outline the scope of coverage, exclusions, and important considerations.

2. Warranty Coverage

This warranty plan offers protection for specific circumstances occurring during pet transportation, including:

  • Purchase Price Reimbursement – If the animal dies during transport, the full purchase price will be reimbursed upon submission of the breeder’s invoice.
  • Transportation Cost Coverage – If the animal dies during transport, the full cost of shipping will be reimbursed upon submission of the shipper’s invoice.
  • Incidental Death Coverage – The warranty covers unexpected deaths caused by accidents or unforeseen circumstances, such as traffic accidents or extreme weather conditions.
  • Escape or Loss – If the animal escapes from its carrier or is lost during transit, the warranty will cover the associated costs.
  • Negligence by Transporter – If the transporter is found negligent in handling the animal, resulting in harm or death, the warranty will cover the related losses.
  • Specific Causes of Death – The warranty may exclude certain causes of death, such as those resulting from stress or pre-existing illnesses.

3. Warranty Exclusions

The following situations are not covered under this warranty:

  • Pre-Existing Conditions – If a pet dies due to a pre-existing medical condition, the claim is not eligible for coverage.
  • Necropsy Requirement – If a necropsy (animal autopsy) confirms that a pre-existing condition contributed to the pet’s death, the claim will be denied.
  • Non-Transportation-Related Incidents – This warranty applies exclusively to incidents that occur during transportation. Any health problems arising after the pet arrives at its destination are not covered.

4. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure eligibility for claims, customers must:

  • Disclose known health conditions before purchasing a warranty.
  • Maintain all relevant invoices and documentation related to the purchase and transportation of the animal.
  • Thoroughly review all warranty terms and exclusions before purchasing.

Failure to provide accurate and complete information may result in the denial of a claim.
